This week, corporate hiring managers inside human resource departments across Egypt officially began integrating the advanced DeepSearch tool into their initial screening protocols to vet job applicants more effectively through automated digital relationship maps.

The functional necessity of adopting these advanced search mechanisms stems directly from the intense volume of data defining the modern job market. Using DeepSearch to conduct her own research about applicants has greatly enhanced Yara Khalid's ability to do so much more effectively than ever before because of the enhanced level of information that DeepSearch provides. She says "the level of detail is incredible! Now, I have so much information to go from, so I don't have to spend nearly as much time gathering this type of information."

Khalid also mentioned that by saving her time performing research, she has more time to perform analyses. Nevertheless, she also mentioned how important it is to verify and confirm all of the information before using it, adding: “You cannot trust research tools; it is simply not possible. You have to verify original sources of information.”

For corporate researchers and academic evaluators, the primary value of the software lies in its ability to synthesize scattered historical datasets into legible relationship maps. MBA student Shahd Mohamed stated that she has gained a far better understanding of a candidate's professional experience because of the way in which DeepSearch allows her to have access to information that can help her to understand their professional journey and history through their digital footprint. She explains that "using this tool has allowed me to see relationships that exist among the various types of information out there and to quickly identify information that would have taken me much longer to find otherwise".

Although DeepSearch provides tremendous value to users and allows for a large amount of data to be available, Mohamed indicated that it can be difficult for users to determine what type of information is important and relevant from all of the data available.

While these automated relationship maps offer unprecedented speed, corporate talent experts warn against over-relying on algorithmic findings at the expense of direct human interaction. Hader Magdy, an HR expert who utilizes DeepSearch, shared that recruitment processes are becoming increasingly reliant on more advanced research resources. These advanced research resources provide Human Resource professionals with a more efficient way to find publicly available professional profiles of candidates they're considering for employment during the initial stages of the recruitment process. Although she thinks that using the Internet for research can support the hiring manager’s decision, she emphasized that using the Internet for digital research should never replace conducting direct interviews with a candidate or following up with traditional verification methods. She states:

“DeepSearch will help corporate hiring managers to make an informed decision but eventually, the hiring manager must make a judgment based on human evaluation and verified information,” stated Magdy.

Experts expect the future development of digital research tools to be highly integrated with artificial intelligence for analyzing large data sets more quickly and generating more sophisticated relationship maps of large amounts of data. Additionally, because there are growing concerns regarding the privacy of data being used for research, it can be anticipated that future governing laws regarding the extent to which data may be gathered and used will become much more restricted than they are today. With the growth of adopting more advanced searching tools by both organizations and researchers/professionals, the emergence of tools like DeepSearch indicates huge changes in the digital world, where the true benefit of research is not just the ability to find information, but the ability to better understand and connect the information once it has been found.
